According to internal circles, the decision of holding the Agility World Championship 2021 will be made on May 16 by the FCI and the organizers. Recently, there has already been a major discussion on social media about the status of qualifications around the world. In most countries they are waiting for an official response from the FCI and have postponed the qualifications planned for spring into summer. The organizers and the FCI, however, make part of their decision on the number of participating teams. And of course the conditions in Estonia. The Netherlands has now reacted and presented a small timetable for World Championship registration and qualification.
All those interested in participating can register by May 1st. The association is ready to carry out qualifications from a number of 80 registrations. If they have the 80 registrations together, they will communicate this also to the FCI. The pandemic also has a fundamental financial impact on the Netherlands national team. Due to the few competitions during the last year, the national team lacks the financial means to pay the registration and hotel costs of the participants as usual. According to the official statement, it is also in the room that the World Championships could possibly take place without spectators, if they take place. This measure would also affect the partners and relatives from the competitors. The Dutch association would like to create clarity with this statement. On the one hand to the association members, but also to communicate a clear direction to the FCI.
