In Switzerland, four hall operators have come together in the last few weeks and founded the interest group «Hundesporthallen Schweiz». The aim of this community, which now comprises five halls, is to represent the interests of the hall operators towards the national association and the Swiss Agility association. In addition, it should allow a better coordination of appointments for members’ events. A point that regularly caused discussions with the increased number of new halls. It is also intended to provide a general platform for exchanging views and discussions.
Lately there were many heated discussions when the Swiss Agility Association relocated the last and decisive 2020 World Championship qualification to Germany near the border, despite inquiries from Switzerland. The qualification fell due to Covid-19 in the water. The 2021 World Championship qualification will again take place entirely in Switzerland. The four founding members are the agilitysports “HALLE 4” in Würenlingen, the new Dog TEC Arena by Martin Eberle in Seon, the Swiss Dog Arena in Münsingen and Hundesport St. Gallen AG with the hall in St. Gallen. Today the brand new Hundehalter.ch indoor hall joined the community as the first not founding member. Switzerland is considered as one of the country with the greatest concentration of halls.
