The Swedish championship in 2021 was actually planned in Ystad. Due to the current situation, the organizer dropped out as the host. For a while it looked like there was again no real Swedish championship for the second time in a row, after it had to be canceled last year and a virtual alternative was launched instead. As luck would have it, the Guldagility was postponed for a year to 2022. The reason for this are the many international teams from all parts of Europe, which would make it difficult to hold such an event. In order to fill the big gap with some Agility, the organizers have agreed to hold the Swedish championship instead. However, also in a slimmed-down version.
There will be only a individual competition in 2021. The team competition is to be canceled due to the limited number of participants. This was submitted to the Swedish Agility Association in advance. They also confirmed the new date from July 15th to 18th as well as the new venue in Kalmar. However, no spectators will be allowed on site. Instead, an extensive live stream with its own studio and many extras is planned. Among other things with live commentators, course analyzes, exciting guests and lots of interviews and voices. More information will follow in the near future.
