Suspended sentence for British Agility sportler and coach

After a police house search in Streatly, England, in February 2019, a British Agility athlete and coach  (the name is deliberately not mentioned) was found guilty last Friday for being in possession of indecent pictures and extreme pornography. The British police became aware of the incriminating and illegal material after evidence that the 35-year-old had exchanged sick messages with others on Kik Messenger. According to the English newspaper “Oxford Mail”, he is said to have boasted of having sexually abused a girl. This went so far that he wanted to create a group for “perverted fathers” in the said service to exchange pornographic content. On the basis of the IP address, Walter could finally be identified.

During the house search, further incriminating material came to light. For example, it should contain pornographic material with minors of category A (images involving penetrative sexual activity; images involving sexual activity with an animal or sadism), category B (images involving non-penetrative sexual activity) and category C (other indecent images not falling within categories A or B) on a hard drive. Pictures showing people having sex with animals were also found. In addition to the already terrible pictures of young children, the latter is also worrying, since he worked as a veterinary dog psychotherapist and Agility trainer.

In court, the defendant was repentant and confessed that he saved the pictures. But he denied that the cases written in the chat happened in reality. These were all fantasies in his head. He is deeply shocked and ashamed of himself. Shortly after his arrest, he went into therapy. This also had a mitigating effect on his sentence. Last Friday he was sentenced to a total of eight months in prison, which is suspended for two years. Additional to that he need to absolve 100 hours of unpaid work and complete a 40-day rehabilitation program for sexual offenses.

Editors note: We thought for a long time whether we wanted to publish this news or not. After careful consideration, the editorial team decided to publish it. However, without giving the full name of the legally convicted person, even if this can be seen in the source. The convict was part of the manageable Agility family.

Since this is unfortunately not an isolated case and the number of unreported cases is probable to be high, we would like to use this news to raise awareness of the topic on the one hand, and on the other hand to eliminate any rumors and half-truths from the world.
