Norway holds a Corona replacement Championship

Actually, the Norwegian Championships should have taken place in Sandefjord in June. The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in large parts of the world led to an event ban and the championship being canceled. The six-member organizing committee Anne Linn Johannessen Moen, Nina Forus, Trine Thorkildsen, Jan Egil Eide, Tonje Sollied Johansen and Synnøve Matrelies did not give up, and reacted promptly when the first easing became noticeable in summer.

A replacement event was set up for the end of November. From November 27th to 29th, the Norwegian champions 2020 will be chosen. The venue is the Kongsvinger Halle. The same venue where the Norwegian Open takes place every year. It was also possible to invite all judges who where originally planned for an assignment again. The trio around Jari Suomalainen, Jocke Tangfelt and Richard Solvang come from three different countries. It was also announced on the homepage, that all income from the tournament will go to the Norwegian national team for the 2021 mission in Estonia. The Norwegians first mission since 2018.
