Medal Table JOAWC 2022: Also Germany’s youngsters set the tone

The German Junior national team secures overall victory at the Junior Open Agility World Championship in Finland. Analogous to the adults at the past World Championships. The team secured four gold medals, one silver and three bronze medals. Great Britain ranked behind Germany with 3 gold medals and one bronze medal. Two of the individual medals go to Max Glover. He was also part of the team for the Medium Team Gold medal. The podium of the top three nations is rounded off with the Czech Republic. Along with Germany, the Czech Republic is known for its strong junior team.

Behind them are France, Italy and Poland. Sixth place overall is particularly noteworthy for Poland, as it was one of the smallest delegations. Kornelia Wieczorek’s gold medal is all the more gratifying. Host Finland follow in seventh place. In the case of Finland it was enough for 3 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. The friendly host was denied the golden one. The Netherlands in place 8th were also there with only a small team. The young Sandy Kalkhuis won both silver medals in the Large U12 and Medium U12 classification. Switzerland, Slovakia and Estonia shared ninth place, each with a silver medal.
