Lucie Glejdurová secures the championship title on the second attempt

The Czech championships took place last weekend. This year, too, of course, were shaped by various Covid-19 restrictions. From a sporting point of view, these were only a minor matter. The title of Lucie Glejdurová and Twix in the Large classification is anything but a minor matter. This after she was placed second with Nessie last year. Behind Tereza Králová and Say. For the first time this year, the championship was awarded in five instead of three size categories. The other winners are Kateřina Mrázková and Etýnka in the Medium championship and Lenka Holubová with bungee won the Small title. In the two new size categories Medium-Large, Pavel Košek and Turi win and in the Extra Small Marián Broda with Toudi.

For last year’s winner and favorite Tereza Králová with Say, things didn’t go as planned this time. It was possible to secure the title in the team competition the day before. In the individual, however, the two got one fault in Jumping and in the Agility run they didn’t reach the finish. This cleared the way for a new winner. Lucie Glejdurová and Twix filled this gap. With her second dog, Nessie, she was also part of the team from the previous day, which won the Czech championship title in the team competition. Now she also secured victory in the individual competition ahead of Jan Fiala and TooCzech. While Lucie Glejdurová had an acceptable lead, places 2 to 4 were within a second after both runs. Barbora Škarnitzlová and Brook get the last medal with a lead of 0.42 seconds.
