Even though the corona pandemic is gradually taking a back seat, the organizers of the Slovenian Agility Open announced today that the tournament which was scheduled for 2020 will be postponed by a year. The reason is still the different travel regulations of the countries and the uncertain situation. They want to host the tournament under as normal conditions as possible.
Officially, the premiere of the Slovenian Agility Open has been postponed by one year from July 9th to July 11th, 2021. The date still has to be confirmed by the Slovenian association. But this should only be a matter of form. For all those who have registered for the 2020 edition and have already paid the entry fee, the organizers have provided two solutions. The first stipulates that the entry fee will be withheld and that the registered teams will automatically have a starting place for the next year. If this is not desired, they can request the entry fee back, but then they will also lose the starting place for the next year. The repayment can take some time.
According to initial information, two of the three invited judges will remain judging next year. Only one judge had already been booked elsewhere. Anita Szilágyi, Sandra Deidda and Jocke Tangfelt were originally planned. Back in March, it was hoped that the tournament could be held in Slovenia and that the hard work paid off. Now they have to bow to the virus and its far-reaching effects.
