The International Agility Festival 2023 in Germany is to be held for the first time this year. According to the announcement, it would also be one of the largest in the international tournament calendar. The event is planned from the 26th to the 29th May in the Max Aicher Arena in Inzell on the German-Austrian border in Bavaria. Expected are 1200 competitors distributed on 3 rings. A few days ago, the eight international judges from seven different countries were also announced. A post of the organizer from last week on Facebook causes a little uncertainty.
The invited judges and the general conditions with the Max Aicher Arena as venue promise as the name suggests an Agility Festival over the Pentecost weekend. The Max Aicher Arena is a ice arena with a speed skating rink and a sports hall. An artificial turf field is to be laid especially for the tournament. The featured judges are Jan Egil-Eide, Esa Muotka, Nicolas Renaud, Jocke Tangfelt, Andre Landry, Stefanie Semkat, Seppo Savikko and Katharina Fried.

4 days ago, just a few months before the tournament, the organizers were looking on Facebook for a club to support the organizing team. This after another club dropped out at short notice. Also the official homepage is been down since January 10 due to server problems. However, the latest announcements of the judges on the Facebook page of the organizer are a clear sign that everything is going according to plan. At the moment there is no possibility to register for the tournament.
