An app for all Android and Apple smartphones will enrich the Junior Open Agility World Championship 2022 in Finland. The app is primarily intended to bring all important information such as overview plans, start lists, judges, teams, results and much more to the smartphone. A small but nice gimmick, which should be actively used by the young people at the JOAWC. Especially with the integrated “exchange functions” such as a chat. This should make it possible to get to know other participants better. According to the announcement, the chat should also serve as a link to the organizers.
The official app for the Junior Open Agility World Championships was developed by students at Haaga-Helia. This as part of their studies of information processing. The Haaga-Helia University is one of Finland’s largest universities of applied sciences. At the moment there are still some gaps within the app. On the one hand due to the fact that the registration period for all teams is still open, but also because certain things are still missing in the app. These should be activated soon. Those interested can already download the app. Either in the Google Play Store or for all Apple users in the App Store. The JOAWC 2022 takes place from 14th til 17th July in Vantaa.
