Hundesportwelt in the German Hemsbach got decorated with graffiti

Normally graffiti does not enjoy a good reputation among the general public. The image of mostly teenagers spraying during a night and fog action on walls and trains has burned itself into people’s minds. But graffiti can also be very well and called art. Especially when it comes to legal and elaborate works of art. The owners of the Agility hall Hundesportwelt in Hemsbach, Germany, have also chosen this step and embellished an outer wall with lots of blue and violet. Involved in the whole project is a familiar face from the Agility scene. The Belgian Michael Edmond Van Waegevelde designed and provided the template. The young Belgian already demonstrated his talent in January when he designed the official team jerseys for the Belgian national team for the 2020 World Agility Championship in Estonia.

The work was carried out by the artist Paul T. aka Letterheaad and the MOTRA company. The Hundesportwelt takes the occasion for a small contest. If you know the names of the three dogs, who are immortalized on the wall, you can win a little present. The deadline for answers is September 19th. The Agility hall was opened in the summer of 2017 and has since then offered a lot seminars with international stars and organized various competitions. The figurehead is the Pokalmeisterschaft, which was held for the first time last year. The next edition of the tournament would be from February 6th to 7th, if the Covid-19 situation permits.
