Estonian Championship 2020: Kaisa Tsäro and Lizzi defend the title alongside four new winners

With summer temperatures around 30 degrees, the first major event after the Corona Lockdown took place in Estonia with the national championship. It was already sure before the tournament will be held that neither Marje Piiroja in the Large nor Keida Raamat in the Small competition would defend the title from last year. Kaisa Tsäro and Lizzi were the only ones who could repeat the victory from the previous year. Also impressive was the victory of Marge Mitt and Fay, who won both runs today with a pretty big lead. Behind them ranks Reet Volt with Riin in second place. She also placed second in both runs today. Third is Natalja Garastsenko with Uma.

The Large tournament as also the one of the small Large teams, was marked by many disqualifications. That is also the reason, why there were only 2 classifieds for small Large dogs in the end. Namely Eve Lepik and Dream in first place and Jaana Järsk and with Fiona in second place. This title in the category of small Large dogs was awarded for the first time this year. Also for the first time was the title awarded for the extra Small dogs. There was a double victory for two Papillons from Kätriin Kivimets with Mickey and birthday child Karen Dunaway with Shanja. Third in the overall ranking is Maria Kivastik with Zara.

The gaps between the Medium dogs were scarcer. After the first run, Kaisa Tsäro secured the double lead with Lizzi and Zira. In the last round of the Agility run, the two went through a little uncertainty and Zira ran past the A wall. But she was able to run the best time with Lizzi to defend the title ahead of Elen Kivi-Paju with Ronja and Natali Happonen with Essie. All three teams on the podium ran two clean runs today. In the Small competition, Marje Piiroja and Kiss inherited last year’s winner Keida Raamat and My. Behind her, Dmitri Kargin and Davis ranked 2nd. Miiu Liivamägi and Riki finished third. For the winning team, it is one of only a few competitions in the highest class so far.
