The disappointment in Estonia and in the organizing team was big after the cancellation of the 2020 World Championship due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Almost a week later there is also good news to report. Because Estonia has the opportunity to postpone the World Championship by one year and to hold it instead in 2021. The organizers contacted the FCI immediately after the cancellation was announced and asked to postpone the tournament for a year. In other words, the year in which Russia has already received the commitment to host the event.
As a result, Estonia will host the 25th Agility World Championship as planned. The exact date is not yet known, but will be communicated as early as possible. But it is clear that the event should also take place in September again. The original date was 10 to 13 September 2020. With this decision by the FCI, the World Championship in Russia and the Czech Republic should also be postponed by one year. Russia would, therefore, host the World Championship in 2022 and the Czech Republic in 2023.
