AWC and EO qualifiers from last weekend in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

This weekend, qualifications for the World Championships took place in the three German-speaking countries. In Germany and Austria the qualifications for the European Open took place at the same time. We want to show you the interim combined results from this weekend. However, a definitive decision has not yet been made. Further qualifying runs will follow in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In Germany it was the first qualifying runs this weekend. Traditionally, the Small/Medium qualification takes place separately from the Large teams. The latter will have their first runs next weekend. The second qualification takes place at the beginning of April in the “Hundesportzentrum HSV-NRW”. After these four qualifying runs, the European Open participants have been determined already. The teams which will go to the World Championships will be decided at the “Hund & Katz Messe” in Dortmund. At the moment Tobias Wüst (Small) and Daniel Schröder (Medium) are leading the ranking.

The first qualifications also started yesterday in Austria. In comparison to Germany, also the Large dogs had their first runs already. At the moment after the first two qualifiers, Lisa Frick is leading with Jack (Large), Laura Reinhalter with Zookie (Medium) and Conni Raschbauer with LeGo (Small). The second and final qualification will take place in Austria on April 23rd and 24th. Venue is the “Agility Funny Bones Hundesporthalle” in Stockerau.

The World Championship qualifiers in Switzerland are a little further along. There, these take place separately from the European Open Qualis. The preliminary qualifications ended this weekend in the Swiss Dog Arena in Münsingen. This was won by Sandra Loosli with Lane (Large), Martin Eberle with Sloane (Medium) and Sandra Inglin with Pip (Small). All three winners of the pre qualification are qualified already for the national team. The decision for the other spots will be made in a final weekend on April 2nd and 3rd in the DOGTEC Training & Event Center in Seon.
