Having just digested the first big success, just a few hours later there is the next big party in the German team in Liberec. The team around Tobias Wüst, Daniel Schröder, Krisztina Beitl-Kabai and Silas Boogk is also at the top in the team Jumping in the Medium category. Only the Czech team – in this case it was Aneta Obrusníková in particular – was able to keep up to some extent today. The Czech has written her own history at this tournament. She ran alongside Lenka Fuksová with three dogs on the same team. When her teammate Lenka Fuksová received a disqualification, the pressure on Aneta for the last two runs was even higher. She kept her nerve and ran three clean runs, securing second place.
The Belgian team around Taina Verbesselt, Marc Van Beeck, Veerle Jacobs and Andrea Prezzi came third. All four without a mistake. With this strong performance at the start of the competition, they were even able to keep neighboring France in check in fourth place. Estonia comes fifth. Anders Virtanen’s run also provided a lot of excitement. Compared to the Small run there were very few disqualifications. The only downer for the German team is probably that they didn’t get the absolute best running time. This went to the USA. Jennifer Crank completed the run in 31.92 seconds. She was the only starter who stayed under 32 seconds. But this strong run didn’t help for a better placement than 13th place.
