Avallon Cup stays true to its DNA and postpones the cup by another year

The French authorities have presented poorly encouraging prospects for the summer in recent days. Events should be possible again slowly, but in a greatly minimized form. This is the reason why the organizers of the Avallon Cup have to cancel the event for the second time in a row now. Even if the slight easing for the summer is optimistic, it is not possible to hold the Avallon Cup as people have come to know and love it. According to the French Ministry of Culture, festivals with 5,000 people should be possible again in the summer. But only with the necessary safety distance, without catering and any possibility of refreshment, without camping and no dance activities at all.

Of the approximately 1,500 participants during the four days of the tournament, around 30% come from abroad. With the current travel restrictions, most of them would disappear. In 2022 they want to life the DNA of the tournament again. These are sport at the highest level, a huge event, spectacles and a big show.
