A week ago, the FCI made a definite commitment that Estonia could postpone the Agility World Championship by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today followed the official confirmation of the date. The World Championship next year will take place from September 23 to 26, 2021. The definite confirmation of the date was probably related to the location of the World Championship. As planned already this year, the tournament will take place in the Tondiraba ice hockey stadium in Tallinn.
There is also good news for those who have already secured a ticket for 2020. According to the organizers, these should also be valid next year. Anyone who is prevented in 2021 and has already bought a ticket can have it refunded. The FCI has also confirmed on its website that all other planned World Championships after Estonia will continue to exist and will only be postponed by one year. That means, that the 2022 World Championship will take place in Russia, 2023 in the Czech Republic, and possibly but not yet confirmed 2024 in Switzerland.
