Härryda Hundarena will be closed: Things never turn out as the way they’re expected

Two weeks ago we wrote about the financial difficulties caused by the pandemic, which the two owners of the Härryda Hundarena Fiona and Emily Lövdinger are struggling with. Despite everything, the two did not let themselves get down and planned to continue operating the hall beyond the summer. The resumption of competitions made both of them all the more confident about the future. A few days ago, however, the shock followed: the owner of the property, quite surprisingly, canceled the contract with the operators for the end of June and will rent the hall to someone else from that point on.

A step that took place quite unexpectedly, especially since the two were in regular dialogue with the owner and also informed him of the decision that they would like to continue. Despite assurances, the landlord canceled the contract. Legally everything is correct, which is why they have no other choice and need to accept the decision. But they want to continue as usual at least until the end of June. Among other things, four more competitions are planned during this time.

  • 9th June (Grade 1)
  • 12th and 13th June (Grade 1)
  • 16th June (Grade 3)
  • 19th and 20th June (Grade 2)

How it will continue from July on is not yet clear. According to the first statements, they actually want to hold on to the dream of having a dog hall for the southwest Sweden. However, after the last two stressful years, they would like to have some rest to get new energy. Both for personal and financial reasons. A few more outdoor competitions are planned for the summer.
