Parts of the Swiss Agility Community have launched a donation campaign for members of the recently launched association «Hundesporthallen Schweiz». This due to the complete loss of income during the Covid-19 pandemic. The halls have been closed since the beginning of December according to the rules imposed by the regional authorities. The restrictions are expected to remain until at least the end of February. This means for the hall operators, a whole quarter without revenue, despite ongoing fixed costs.
Nadine Steurer and Stefan Müller launched the initiative under the motto «Let the light Shine». As an example, the operator of the «agilitysports Halle 4» in Würenlingen Philip Fröhlich provided his figures. The monthly fixed costs are up to 12,500 Swiss francs. It means in the case of a three-month closing, as it currently is, that there are 37,500 Swiss francs that are not covered. The official fundraising is aimed at the five members of the interest group «Hundesporthallen Schweiz». There is no minimum amount. Every franc counts in this exceptional situation.
However, it is up to each donor to pay everything into a general solidarity pot, which is distributed fairly among the five halls, or whether one would like to give special support to a particular hall. Then the appropriate hall must be noted at the time of the transfer. Even then, at least 40% of the amount donated will go into the solidarity pot. The donation details can be found below. The promotion ends on February 28, 2021 and the payout is made in two steps. A first at the end of January and the second at the beginning of March. Of course, everyone is free to make a donation directly to any hall.
