Finland cancels EO qualification and Indoor Championship – for the moment

The Finnish Agility Association has also drawn up the first Covid-19 measures for the year 2021. The two EO qualifying tournaments in Oulu and Vantaa will be cancelled. These were originally scheduled to take place on 27 and 28 February, and a month later in Vantaa on 27 and 28 March. On the same date in March, the Indoor Championship should have taken place, but these have now also been cancelled.

27./28. February 2021 EO-qualification in Oulu (canceled)
27./28. March 2021 EO-qualification and Indoor Championship in Vantaa (canceled)

Not, or not yet cancelled, are the qualifications for the World Championship in May. If it is possible to hold them, then they try to combine it with the EO qualification and also with the Indoor Championship. A precise solution will be worked out in the coming months. For example, a common evaluation is possible. Finland has very few Covid-19 infections, but some neighbouring countries such as Sweden, Russia and the Baltic States currently have high numbers of infection, which is one reason why the situation in Finland remains tense.
