Over the past few days, one of the largest tournaments in Sweden has announced their return. The Guldagility, which was last held in 2015, will take place in Kalmar, Sweden, from July 14th to 18th, 2021. The organizers around the Växjö Agility Club and many more peoples announced this on the reactivated Facebook account. The last entry before also resulted from 2015. The announcement was made together with a small trailer, a radio interview, and articles in newspapers and online news portals. In addition to the big announcement, the tournament shows itself in new freshness.
After 2014 and 2015, the Guldagility 2021 will be held for the third time. As in the previous years, the Fredriksskans athletics stadium serves as an impressive backdrop almost in the middle of the picturesque town of Kalmar. As in the previous years, there was total prize money for the winning team with 10,000 Swedish kronor. Converted almost 1,000 euros. What is new is that the final will be held in a team competition. The teams consist of four members and can be formed freely from class 3 starters of the corresponding size category. As things stand, there will be no individual final. Besides the actual competition from July 14th to 18th, there are various seminars and courses three days in advance.
Registration for the tournament is possible until May 1st, 2021 via the Swedish registration platform Agida. The registration as a team is possible until May 15th, but requires prior registration for the normal runs in the Agida system. The organizers have uploaded further information on the website. Due to the lack of an individual final, Juha Orenius with Gaia, Letizia Grunder with Nomade and Victoria Silvferberg with Zen remain as last winners of the Guldagility.
