The leading Agility device manufacturer Galican explained in a 7 minute video, according to which principles they manufacture obstacles in Spain and what they paid special attention during the time of developing devices from the latest generation. Galicans Jaime Otero Boquete presents the latest developments of the Soft Line in the video. Especially with regard to the safety of the dogs.
The three most important things include safety, quality and innovation. One good example is the tire, which was also invented with the three main criteria. Innovation with the adjustable height by a fast hydraulic system. In the example of the tire, care was taken to keep the feet as flat as possible if a dog would touch them. Attempts have also been made to round off all edges, and wherever possible to hide metals behind foam or plastic. Another Soft Line product that places special emphasis on safety is the wall, which consists almost entirely of foam.

There have also been new jumps developed for this line. Under the name Galican Soft jump PRO. These are no longer made of aluminum. Instead there are round PVC pipes used, such as those in the jumps by Cool-Dog.eu. The jumps also have a new and quick way of height adjustment. They are supplemented by bars who where originally developed for the double jump, which have a magnetic breaking point at both ends and thus prevent a dog that jumps off too early from landing painfully on the pole.
The last and probably one of the greatest developments, especially in the long-term, are the new coverings of the contact zones devices. These have an absorbing effect compared to the conventional zones and are intended to relieve the joints of the dogs.
